Cloudland Canyon our destination by bicycle. John Howe and I left Southern around 3pm and
headed off on our adventure. John managed to pack everything on the side of his bike while I was restricted only to a backpack.
There were many turns to make in our directions in an effort to stay off the main roads. It made it all the more interesting with the wonderful state of Georgia not having the normal amount of road signs marking the different roads.
After spending an hour and a half trying to find an unmarked road and also waiting for VP Dick Cheney to go by, we made it to the park after dark 43+ miles later. But not before going up a 3 mile hill to finish our ride. We finally found our campsite and posted our name up on the board where we were staying.
The next morning we got up and hiked around before we came back to Southern.
It was an awesome view. We also saw 2 different waterfalls.
After we got back at 3 pm we finished up most of the leftovers from a haystack lunch in student park.
