is not to be the fastest,
for there will always be someone faster.

is not to boast to others what I have done,
although others might be impressed.

leads me not to run another marathon,
but to train for running my first ultramarathon.

is not to run in circles,
but to explore my surroundings.

is not to get up early to hear the birds sing,
but to reconnect to myself.

is not for the sheer joy of doing it,
but to simply enjoy the life God has given me.

Kudos my friend!!! I couldn't of said those words better! Running is indeed a glorious thing and I am so extremly grateful that i can go out and run (not jog :->), no strings attached, just run!
