Last Friday I decided to wear my barefoot shoes when I went running on the biology trail. There was still a good 3 inches on the ground then, but on most of the trails people made a path through the snow. Some parts of the main trial were icy. In training for the Southern 6, there is a certain hill that I have been running. The hill, Christmas Top, is the first hill on the trail race course, which is marked by red rectangles. Most people at Southern would know this hill as the long winding trail, the first left past the Outdoor ed. stuff. My fastest time up Christmas Top is 3 minutes. I think if I quit huffing and puffing so much I can make it in 2.5 minutes. I am looking forward to doing more trail running in my barefoot shoes.
